Aloha Swingaleles Seeing as the world soccer championship has finished, we can now go back to normal sleep times. Unfortunately Argentina didn’t win, much to Pat’s disappointment as she seems to have developed a crush on Lionel Messi. This week could you bring the same music as last week. Harmonicaleles practice some Rhythm and Blues in our designated room.Mick Berghuis See More

My Dear Swingaleles My apologies for not being able to make it last week, but it seems I must have had a run in with a rhinoceros who gave me the flu. This week could you bring the Queen songs, the Rock  and Roll songs we’ve been doing and the ABBA book. Harmonicaleles will have blues revision in our designated room at 6.15.Mick Berghuis See More

Sue and Jeff Smeaton

Deepest sympathy to one of the Swingaleles founding members, Sue Smeaton, with the sudden loss of her dear husband Jeff. A lovely tribute here on the Illawarra Jazz Club Facebook...https://www.facebook.com/IllawarraJazzClubSee More

Hey up dear Swingaleles, Uketator Mick, OAM, is indisposed for tomorrow night, so I will lead you astray in his absence. Please bring along our usual warmups, and Knockout Songs Book 1. I'm thinking of leading you on a strumalong based on the songs we perform at the Aged Care joints, that might encourage you to come along.
Cheers - unk

You Wonderful Talented Swingaleles

What a great time we had at the Husky Muster. Swingaleles were well represented. Ukaleidoscope made a colourful entrance, Swingaleles sparkled away with their Neil Diamond bracket, Grooveleles got in the groove with Fats Domino, Ray Charles and Bob Dylan and the Joyboys combined with the Swingalets for some tight harmonies and doo wop. Combined with some karaoke on their way down and back up, everyone had a great time. Last Tuesday, Mick On Wheels…

My Wonderfull Swingaleles

We are becoming more proficient in our playing and singing. We have various splinter groups, trying different instruments and vocal styles. One of these styles are the Blues. To help us with a few pointers, we have asked Michael Satin (Mick On Wheels) to come along to give us a few pointers on vocals and harmonica. I will have some music for us to play, so everyone can be involved. We will start at 6.00 pm, so I hope we can all learn from Michael’s…

My Dear Swingaleles

As we only have two more weeks to the Husky Ukulele Muster, could you bring our Neil Diamond book as well as our warmups. Next Tuesday we have been fortunate in persuading Michael Satin (Mick On Weels) to give us some hints on Blues Harmonica and voice production. If you have a “C” harmonica, bring it along as well as your Ukulele. Harmonicaleles will have their usual Bob Dylan practice in our designated room at 6.15.
